Hi, Brian:

I tried

   CALL PGM(QSYS/QWCCRTEC)

I'm running V5R2. I got a 9 page mostly hex dump spooled file in QEZDEBUG.
I searched for the string "IPL". The two relevant lines include

   *XPF IPL 06/21/06 21:17:36*
and
   *End of IPL 06/21/06 21:20:08*

surrounded, and separated, by a lot of hex "garbage". (Yes, I IPLed last
night.)

Re: Last IPL date and time

I've always used this method, from the Obscure IBM Utility Department
(tm)

CALL PGM(QSYS/QWCCRTEC)

It will create a spooled file under your userid that shows not only the
last IPL date, but the time it actually took to run.
