When I use CPYTOIMPF to copy a file to the IFS, it sets the Public
authority to *None.

When I use CPYTOPCD it defaults to *RWX, which is what I want, but I'm
trying to get away from CYPTOPCD, as I understand it is an Office Vison
command, which is or will soon not be supported, and might just
disappear in some future OS400 release.

Just to put this in context, I'm using this in conjunction with the
QtmmSendMail API. I write the Mime Headers and Email text to a flat
physical file, then copy it to the IFS, then call the API to pick it up
and send it on it's merry way.

Is there a way to set the authority on the output file using CPYTOIMPF ?

Thanks
