It depends on you mixture of work load.  Interactive jobs, printing
jobs, server jobs, and batch job.  I like to separate all of them into
separate memory pools.  *interactive, *spool, *shrpool1, *shrpool2 

Do you have other specialty application such as Domino?  If so, put that
into it's own memory pool.  We also separate the programmers into their
own memory pool for batch work since we do not do LPAR, yet.

We are getting a new i5 i520 2400 (one way).

1.  IBM recomends 4GB per processor - we have one.  Our BP is
vacillating
between 6GB and 8GB.  We are thinking go with 6GB now and see how it
performs. 
Delta dollars is about $6K.
