This is easy to fix... Stop trying to use GUI for data entry. Somewhere along the line a lot of people forgot to use the best tool for the job. We all decided to GUI our Green Screen applications because it was the thing to do but we never stopped to think what would really be best for ALL the users. Some users should be using GUI Web apps and some should be left along on the green screen. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+jwallroff=foundation.nebraska.edu@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+jwallroff=foundation.nebraska.edu@xxxxxxxxxxx m] On Behalf Of pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 11:02 AM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Keyboard mapping with IBM's webfacing tool I am sitting here at a client site with a consultant from a software company that used IBM's webfacing tool to put a GUI front end on their software. The consultant swears that there is no way to make the + (Plus) key on the right side of the numeric keypad map to be a field exit key. Can this possibly be true? The enter key maps as an enter key. This issue is really slowing down the people entering timecards, invoices, etc. Thanks -- Paul Nelson Arbor Solutions, Inc. 708-670-6978 Cell pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx
