let's look at the original requirements list. 40 pages max a day as I recall... That's not alot! And, what I couldn't figure out is why not just cpysplf that stuff and email it?

But at only 40 pages, it doesn't hit me as speed and immediacy is an issue...

I absolutely agree with these observations.  Next time we buy a new
computer we will be looking at other products for faxing.
