Then don't invoke Microsoft Project. Instead invoke a .BAT file (or a more 
modern alternative) that does the checking on the PC and then decides whether 
MS.P. should get called.

If there is no path to the file from your iSeries, then it's going to be 
difficult getting the STRPCCMD command to know anything about the existence of 
the file. The /QNTC file system is one possible path; but you'll need to 
resolve issues of authentication and authorization from the intreractive job 
(e.g., does the interactive job user have the same profile/password as the 
Windows network user?)
