The earliest it will let me go (keeping the end date today) is 05/11/71.
Nothing listed.

If I try 05/10/71 or earlier, I get "The 'FROM' date should be earlier than
the 'TO' date."  <g>

So I set the end date to 05/10/71.  Then I went back to 01/01/40 on the
begin date.  Nothing listed.  Then I set the begin date to 05/11/71 and
nothing listed.  This was my last screen (note the date range):
