I would think you should tryout the WorkLoad Estimator.

I should give you a pretty good feel for the size of system you might need.

C2 Is a domino application and domino runs great on the iSeries.

I think you should look hard at consolidating. You may be able to save
money.  Usually in the hardware and software maint. area.
 And since "all your eggs will be in one basket" you should also look at a
HA solution.

as for costs so much depends on your current system, is it upgradeable?  If
you want to merge your existing workload with C2 will a 1000cpw
of batch horsepower be enough.  How much, if any, interactive will be
needed on the 520.  Memory, disk, other IOA's, tape.

so many questions....
