<<Wasn't COMMON mostly in the Marriott (not the convention center)? >> IIRC, the last time the Marriott and the Sheraton (across the street) were used was 1993. Come see me in Orlando. I've got some good stories I can tell about tree limbs in the IBM delivery truck, porters bouncing AS/400's off the truck onto the pavement, laborers jamming the freight elevator several times during setup, the PC pitching contest at 3 AM, etc. That was an ugly conference in terms of the setup and teardown efforts, but the two hotels were a good venue. See Ken Graap's earlier post about the likelihood of COMMON being able to use the convention center next spring.
