        I'm not sure what commands you are running for this but if you are
using the Net Use command in a batch you can run it without any parameters
to get a list of mapped drives.  If you out that to an out file and read it
with a for loop you should be able to tell whether it's mapped or not.  If
this is what you're doing and need more details then contact me off list as
this would not really be iSeries related.

Hello List,

I need to map a network drive to the users pc from the Iseries. I am
using the STRPCCMD 
command to map the drive and it works fine. The problem I am having is
how to tell if the drive selected is already mapped.  According to the
infocenter, there are no error messages for the STRPCCMD command. Is
there some other way to tell if the command failed?
