Hi Dave we use this on our iSeries in the medical centre, lots of sensitive info as you can imagine, so it is set to only a few minutes. Lots of other users on our normal production box seem to just get up from their desks at the end of the day and leave, often in programs which, causes a bit of a pain to some of the other users that may be trying to get into the same thing, but we are told that it is not needed there. I think the answer is to what limit can you set it without the users complaining that they are constantly losing time having to log in again. I'm used to security being taken seriously in the mainframe world where inactive users were logged off in fairly short order. This in addition to many other security standards and policies to protect company and customer data. Is this the same in the minicomputer/iSeries world of today, especially if taking credit card numbers, SSNs and other sensitive customer data? If so, what's the answer to the subject line question? Thanks in advance, Dave Arizona
