I've heard of at least one other vendor that's doing similar "marketing" of their product now that CGIDEV2 is having it's share of troubles. What this tells me is, these freeware products really do cut into the bottom line of the "big boys". I wish I had the time to support WRKDBF... I told him a few years ago he should at least charge $50 or something for it.. it makes a difference when you actually get a little back for your troubles. I'd be willing to pay for it to sell it.. but time is too short. :) I started out in the freeware business but when I came to an empass of whether to shut it down or charge, I chose to charge and had zero complaints (actually I had a lot of "it's about time" messages... lol... now I just get the "you don't charge enough" messages... lol) Brad www.bvstools.com On Mon, 1 Aug 2005 17:39:00 -0400 Dan <dan27649@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > 'Tis almost snotty-sounding, isn't it? > > Maybe that'll be just the thing to put the fire back in > Bill's belly, > eh?
