I was having the same problem (among others) and started a PMR (30164,550 ). Part of the response is:

PROBLEM: EUVF06014E Unable to obtain initial credentials. Status
0x96c73a9a - Unable to locate security server, issued in spooled file.

Hi Dave,

I searched and found that others have experienced this issue too. What
I found out is that the Management Central server is autostarting.
Under the covers, Management Central does a KINIT to check for a
Kerberos ticket. Since the iSeries is not configured for Kerberos, that
KINIT is failing with EUVF06014E 0x96c73a9a, and writing a spool file.
At this point, there are 2 options:
1. Do not autostart the Mangement Central server.
2. Configure EIM/SSO, so that the KINIT command does find a ticket.

It has been several months, but I believe that I used Navagator to change Management Central to not autostart, and that fixed the problem. Don't remember where that option was, but it might have been a right click.

The explanation is:

Explanation: The kinit command is unable to obtain initial
credentials from the Kerberos security server.

User Response: Ensure the security server is operational
and the correct password is entered. Contact your service
representative if the error persists.

We are not using Kerberos for SSO and don't have a
Kerberos security server, so I am not surprised
that the iSeries cannot find it.
