Hi Brian,

I downloaded the Xerox WC416 Windows Printer Driver
for Win XP and printed a test document to file in
order to see what printer language the device seemed
to be supporting. It looks like it is one of the
special "Windows Printers" so that trying to control
its functionality with the PCL printer language is
liable to not work very well.

This type of "Windows Printer" device can work quite
well with an i5-iSeries-AS/400 host and plain SCS data
if you don't mind setting it up to be supported with a
PC5250 session using a software like iSeries Access or
Client Access Express.

If you were to configure an iSeries Access or Client
Access PC5250 print session to not use Host Print
Transform (uncheck the box Transform Print Data to
ASCII on iSeries or AS/400), the i5 OS - OS/400 EBCDIC
data would be transferred natively from the
i5-iSeries-AS/400 host to the PC running iSeries
Access or Client Access.

If you also make sure that you do not select the Use
PDT checkbox, iSeries Access or Client Access will
convert your EBCDIC data into a Windows format known
as GDI on the PC running iSeries Access or Client
Access. The GDI format is the generic input format
required by Windows print drivers. In this
configuration, you will be able to use the correct
Xerox Windows print driver to format the
i5-iSeries-AS/400 data and landscape printing will
then be supported.

HTH

Best Regards,

/Paul
