I'm not sure, maybe something else gets called after a successful
completion of QMNSAVE? I'm pretty sure that in an option 21 QMNSAVE is
called from QMNSRBND, but not so sure what happens after it completes.

My memory is *NOTSOGOOD and I only run an option 21 about once a year on
a test system and can't remember if it normally ejects or not. But
apparently Mike's option 21's previously ejected.

If the ENDOPT is (*LEAVE) then how would a successful save ever eject a
tape?

I suspect that is the case, but I am not sure how to prove it. The
ENDOPT on the SAV command in QMNSAVE is *LEAVE and it has been a long
time since I ran an option 21.

Pressing F1, then F9 on any of the QHST messages below will give you the
name, user and number of the job that ran the backup; you should then be
able to find the joblog if it exists.

Do you run the option 21 save daily or weekly?
