QAUTOCFG controls auto-configuration of local controllers and devices i.e., twinax-displays and printers. Just because you may not have any of them doesn't remove the inherent meaning. The other interfaces you mention are controlled by QAUTOVRT (as long as they create a virtual device). QAUTORMT handles remote controller configuration. This separation provides granularity of control--even if it is found confusing.
