WordPerfect supports IBM DCA RFT & FFT formats. The first (RFT) can read OfficeVision documents.

OpenOffice also has this capability, and StarOffice does, too. Of course, there's always Lotus' SmartSuite, but I, personally, would not go there.

MS has issued a new converter pack that, AFAIK, does not have the DCA-RFT converter - security issues or something. Get an old one, if possible, as Richard suggests.

You're on the right track. The MS converter should work assuming the docs
are in revisable form.

Try installing the converter from the Office 200 CD. If I recall
correctly, the converter was on the Office 2000 CD as an optional install.

Hi There,

I want to view the RFTDCA and RFTAS400 files using any editor on PC
preferably MS-Word.

I have copied these documents to my desktop using the operations
navigator.

While looking for information on Midrange, in one of the discussion
threads I found that I am required to download and install a RFTDCA
converter from Microsoft website (oconv.exe), I downloaded and installed
this file which is available for office 2003 now. Unfortunately It did not
work. I am not very sure if I could get the correct file. I am using
office 2000 on Windows 2000 professional OS.

Any help on this is solemnly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards

Riz
