That's a naming issue. You SHOULD be able to call something "dogturd" and then sell it if you market it properly. The problem is the maerketnig part of it. What I haven't heard one person say, even on these lists, is that RPG is a kick-ass language that ought to be used MORE, not less, and that it stands up to anything in the market for defining business rules. That's the truth, but nobody wants to say it. My little vignettes say exactly that. That's not to say that the name RPG doesn't have some baggage. I just don't know if a wholesale rename is the right answer; there's a lot of positive brand recognition there. There are ways to desensitize the current name: come up with "cute" acronyms or use the "this is NOT your father's RPG" technique, which actually worked pretty well for Oldsmobile.
