Actually it should rebuild itself, and any devices underneath it should rebuild themselves. Heck, it might be a good idea NOT to bring them across. Who knows how many are obsolete? Like the PC named for FRED who no longer works here but you still have a FREDS1, FREDS2, FREDS3. If most of the text on the devices begin with: Device created for... then it's a safe bet they were automatically created. There is a small remote possibility that a device was later modified, like assigning a default printer to a particular display or changing the message queue to a particular printer to go to a user's message queue versus the default of a message queue for that printer. You could try SAVCFG. If that scares you then you could try RTVCFGSRC CFGD(QVIRCD0001) CFGTYPE(*CTLD) SRCFILE(MYLIB/QCLSRC) RTVOPT(*NET) compile that, and run it on the new system.
