I can confirm that the picture we all love of "a room full of servers"
(actually a CISC AS/400) is still shipped with XP (or atleast was on my
Dell, built in May 2004).

                 There are wonderful technological points in favour of

'win'.

                 The S/36 was the most popular mid range computer in the 
world at one
point, that winning formula should have
                 taught IBM something about marketing.
                 Ours just sort of faded out of existence, without even an 
attempt by
IBM to re-gain an old customer.
