It only restores the PTF's that are on de tape, so if you restore to
differebnt hardware, you have to load the PTF's again, so the new
hardware specific PTF's can be installed,

We just tell them they will be losing their spool files.  They shouldn't

count on them for anything.  Our corporate policy is to not back up any 
spool files.  And to delete all that are over a certain number of days -

no exceptions.

As long as we notify them - they accept it.  But the time we forgot to 
notify them - hoo boy!
