If you add up all the iSeries boxes that host some form of e-commerce, over half of them are run with LANSA solutions and software. All the other ideas, including WebSphere, split up the smaller half of the pie. There must be a reason.
We are a LANSA Solutions Partner and have been named "Partner of the Quarter" by LANSA a couple of times over the last two years. Here's some concise information on our site to take a peek at for some fresh ideas:
automatic B2B up and down the supply chain, including
answers for HIPAA, UCCnet/GSD, AS2. http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/NoSeams.htm (robust RFID for iSeries --- new/call us on that one) (drag/drop EDI translator integrated w/AS2 --- new/call us)
full customer service for any ERP system, even
home-grown systems. Here's just two examples of out-of-the-box-ready examples which provide access to on-line free demos: ++>> for BPCS: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/BPCS_and_LANSA.htm ++>> for JDEdwards: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/CommerceEdition.htm

There are a bazillion ways to do 'e-commerce'. Look at it like you would any traditional IS project. Define your requirements and go from there. <SNIP> Rob Berendt Group Dekko Services, LLC

Subject: e-commerce imp <SNIP> "Believe it or not" our company does not do e-commerce at this point in time. We have an option of purchasing an integrated e-commerce module for our iseries from our current software supplier, Vormitagg Associates Inc. (VAI) but before making the purchasing decision we need to compare it to something else. Any recommendations?
