Re: Job schedulers

I have used HelpSystems Robot products:  Scheduler, Alert, and Console and
they are exellent.  I can't imagine trying to automate Day, Month, Year end
with out this package.

Alert and Console allow us to monitor message queues (ie:  qsysopr) and,
when an error condition occurs, we can get a text message to our cell phone
(per escalation list).  Caveat is that no cell phone company is infalliable
when it comes to message delivery.

With scheduler let me recommend heartily that you go with defining groups
instead of long reactive chains of individual jobs.
