I had an IBM 6408 printer I was testing the SNMP printer driver on.

It was working fine with an AXIS 5600+ print server. However, I ended up
needing the AXIS in another location ( I needed to use the serial port on
it). So, I hooked up a HP Jetdirect 300x printer server.

>From all the documentation, both IBM and HPs, it seems the 300x does support
SNMP. However, I couldn't get it to work.

I switched over to IPP, finally got that to work after much time wasted
before I found documented the correct path to use: http://ip.0.0.0/ipp/port1

Does anyone have any experience with the 300x and SNMP? Given the hoops I
had to jump through to find the IPP path, I'm think it is possible I was
missing something in the SNMP setup.

Thanks,
Charles
