You are running a dual stack, which is needed.  Your best
bet may be to run a trace after running the SNDDST command.

Use TRCTCPAPP and trace SMTPCLT (I think this is the one).

Then do a SNDDST.  Wait a few minutes, then end the trace
and look through the spooled file for any clues.

I have updated my MAILTOOL client to not use the SMTP
server on the AS/400.. handles it all internally so there
should be no issues colliding with any other SMTP server.
