Greg, Do you have the source code to weekly backup program? If so, you should be monitoring for various conditions, including media errors. If an oddball error occurs, have the program put the system back into a useable condition so the users won't be waking you up at dark-thirty on Monday mornings. It is undesirable to have everyone come to work Monday morning and find that the machine has a message to be answered. Three weeks ago the FE replaced the batteries in our disk controllers and since then the machine has not powered off/on. Does anyone have an idea of what I should check for? The power off/on schedule shows the correct dates/time.
