RE: APC Smart-UPS and as/400 ?

We've been using the same APC Smart UPS for the last 5-6 years on the as/400
with no problems.  I had to get a different cable when we got our new
as/400.  I just had to hot-swap the batteries about a month ago for the
first time.  

We had an Exide before the APC.  It lasted about 4-5 years until the
batteries needed to be replaced.  We had a warranty claim early on with it.
The batteries were not hot-swappable, the newer models might be if they are
still around.

connected to AS/400 170, and we decided to change it. After seeking 
through mail list I found that APC Smart-UPS should work with
special interface cable to AS/400. I have a questions: Did you have 
any troubles with using APC ups with AS/400?  Could you recommend 
other solutions alternative to original ups from IBM?
