I assume that is an interior stairway, like in most office buildings.

We had a stairway on one of our factory floors.  In that case we cut the top
guardrail off.  Use the heavy lifter to raise it up.  And welded the
guardrail back on.

Any removable floor to ceiling windows, fire landings, etc?
