Exactly. Ya gotta know one or the other. Each can reset it's compliment. If QSECOFR is disabled in OS/400 you can still sign on at the Console only to OS/400 but you still need the password. As they say at the Chinese Laundry: "No Tickie, No Shirtie."

Larry,
If the system can be brought up in DST, can't the QSECOFR password be reset
without loading SLIC?
I was under the impression that as long as it was the system console being
used, the QSECOFR profile could be reset from DST. That sure beats having
to to reload SLIC and re-applying PTF's.
