pgm
dltlib mylib
monmsg cpf2110 /* library not found */
endpgm

This will delete the library if it's there, ignore it if it's not. But your title refers to a SAVF. Usually a SAVF has the same name as the library being saved. If it's the savf you want to check for, use the following code instead:

pgm
dltf mylib
monmsg cpf2105 /* file not found */
endpgm

You can use the chkobj command to see if the file exists, but it forces you to use a goto and I try to avoid that if possible. Just executing the command and monitoring for the not found message is simpler and more direct IMHO.

All,
I think this is too easy so I can't figure it out in CL:

PGM

If library_exists(my_library_name)
then
   dltlib lib(my_library_name)
end

What is the CORRECT way of coding that in CL?

Thanks!
