Also, let's be crystal clear on this: the Sasser virus does nothing to the AS/400, nor does the AS/400 in any way spread or propagate the virus (or any other virus). If there were no Windows machines in the network, Sasser in an IFS folder would be completely benign. Of course, you probably wouldn't need Windows shares then and you wouldn't have gotten the thing in your IFS in the first place - only through infected PCs can these viruses even get lodged in your IFS. The point is that even if Sasser (or any other virus) attempts to attack your AS/400, it still cannot do any damage - unless you have Windows machines in your network. As I've said before: if you think of network security as an immune system, Windows is HIV.
