Sorry, but I happen to have some experience in Rexx back in early 90's.
It's purpose is different than CL (although, yeah, you can execute SYSTEM,
iirc).  String manipulation is sufficient, but not exemplory in RPG.  So I
can get more done a WHOLE lot easier with HLL/CL that I would expect you
could do with REXX/HLL/no-CL.

Afaik.  (Unless you do all your HLL apps in Rexx, which I would doubt?)
