The image of the platform or the image of the customer base? "...improving its image.": "image" implies "visibility", and the language is wrong. It should be "getting an image". And before somebody from IBM tells me it's my job to "improve the image" by educating customers, I want to know why tier 1 business partners show up in my big accounts with a bogus value-add as soon as the IBM branch gets wind of the deal. And I want to know why tier 1 accounts can sell into my accounts but I can't sell into theirs. Doesn't anybody in IBM know how to spell "anti-trust" these days? -rf > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l- > bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Damato > Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2004 5:37 PM > To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' > Subject: RE: Tattoos & hugs: Malcolm's at it again! > > "...But the basis of this campaign, really, is part of an overall strategy > developed by Al Zollar, general manager of the iSeries, to add to the > platform's customer base by improving its image." > > "This campaign, which Zollar discussed with business partners during its > PartnerWorld conference being held this week in Las Vegas, will be rolled > out during Common conference in May in San Antonio." > > > > Sigh.
