SNADS provides 'pretty darn assured' file transfer. Of course, if subsystem QSNADS isn't running or you've reached your ASP threshold, bad things happen. But SNADS will retry a transfer a (configured) number of times before it gives up, while you would need to put FTP into a CL or something to get a level of reliability. SNADS is a 'store and forward' mechanism, FTP is an immediate transfer.
