I asked this question of IBM many moons ago. Seem's that it's quite a
performance hit to update the save date of each object for some of these
system objects. Therefore they just don't do it.

Subject
full system save option 21

This question may seem somewhat basic but I have think we have a problem
with the way we do full system backups. I have run the Option 21 from
the save menu several times in the past year. Each time I was under the
impression that everything was being saved. However, this past week I
just happened to be looking one of my user's profiles and noticed that
it had not been saved since 7/20/02. Upon further investigation I
noticed that none of the profiles that have been created since 7/20/02
had been saved. Does anyone have any ideas why my profiles are not
being picked up in the system save?

Not sure it matters, but we are running v5r1 and the latest PTF cum
pack.
