It's funny the way time dilation operates. In some respects 10 years is a
very short time (that happens when you start to get long in the tooth.) I
remember subscribing shortly after you announced on Midrange.com's BBS. I
had to dial in to a host on the US east cost (from the midwest US) with a
(I think) 9600 baud modem, and being a nix newbie twice removed, I was
unimpressed with pine, and it was such a hassle I dropped out after a
while. Wow, when I think about that, it's a lifetime ago.
