Carl:

Overnight I got to thinking "Did he say SNA back at the beginning?" Well, okay,
then try this...

On SYSTEMA:

 ==> runrmtcmd cmd( call yourlib/TSTRMTCMD ) +
               rmtlocname( SYSTEMB ) +
               rmtuser( CARL ) +
               rmtpwd( carlspwd )

On SYSTEMB, have the following compiled in library(yourlib):

pgm

   dcl     &uowid        *char      24
   dcl     &ji400        *char     467

   call    QUSRJOBI    ( +
                         &ji400       +
                         x'000001D3'  +
                         'JOBI0400'   +
                         '*'          +
                         ' '          +
                       )

   chgvar  &uowid        %sst( &ji400 124 24 )

dmpclpgm

return
endpgm

Compile it named TSTRMTCMD of course.

Examine the CL dump and review the content of the &uowid variable. Perhaps this
will give you the info you need to create your solution.
