There is a school of thought that says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". While I have never had problems with IBMs PTFs, I do try to minimise the number of changes I make to my system. I accept that it is a good thing to be up to date with the Cum PTF packages, it's like having your car serviced. However, fiddling about with PTFs every day/week whatever when you don't have a problem seems to be a bit over zealous. Kind regards, Jeffrey E.
