Why?  I guess I missed something.  Are you seeing a slowdown after you 
restore the window?

Most people have used the minimize technique as an easy way to free up 
memory for other applications.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick answer. I'll see about adding more memory since I'm
using the WebSphere Test Environment and usually have several 5250 
sessions
going as well! In the mean time, I'll try to remember to NOT minimize the
WDSC window!

More memory always helps, but 512 should be enough, especially if you are
just doing iSeries coding.  If you need to use the WebSphere Test
Environment to run web applications, more memory would help.

The feature you have seen when minimizing the application is a
Windows-specific feature and doesn't have anything specifically to do with
WDSC or the JVM.
