We do have Robot/Schedule and I was unaware that this command was part of
it. I think that I'm going to end up using the TAATOOL command DLTOLDSPLF
because it might be a better fit for what we want to do. I can definitely
see the benefits to AGEOUTQ so I'll file that one away for future
reference. Thanks!

If you use Help Systems' Robot/Schedule, it comes with the AGEOUTQ
command. You tell the command how many times it can 'see' a spool
file entry before it's deleted. Each time the program runs, it adds
a number to the back end of the User Data (?) field attached to the
spool file entry. When the number exceeds the number in the command,
it's history.

You run the command as often as you want, each time the number grows.
For example, you tell the command "3", and run it once a week, and
your spool files 'live' for 3 weeks (or is it 4-- I can never
remember if the command looks for a match or greater than).

You run the command for each output queue (I don't remember if
there's a list option for the outq name or not).

We use it regularly to keep our spool files in check.
