It'd be safer to put a copy of the command in a library (OURSYS) that you place ahead of QSYS, then change the defaults of that one.

We usually just type WRKWTR which creates the impression that EVERYTHING
is displayed since no selection criteria is stated.

However adding *ALL has unmasked the "outq only" devices!

It appears the difference lies in that printers normally visible are
type PRT whereas others are RMT.

Do you think there will be any problems if I change the device type to
PRT?
