STRSQL, then use the CREATE COLLECTION command as Vern suggested. Visit the
SQL manuals in the Infocentre for more information on iSeries-specific SQL
details. http://www.iseries.ibm.com/infocenter

The most important point (I think) is to remember that IBM has done a
remarkable job of shoehorning SQL concepts onto the existing native database
(and calling the result DB2). From the RPG/Cobol side of the house, we can
readily use SQL collections, tables and rows via 'native' access. Likewise,
the SQL side of the house can use 'native' libraries, files and records.
There are a few cracks in the implementation, and one of them is that a
'library' created by SQL's CREATE COLLECTION does some extra work above and
beyond the CRTLIB command. That work includes creating a local set of
database cross reference tables (SYSTABLES, etc.) as well as enabling
journalling of tables created via CREATE TABLE. It's in the books...

Hope the overview helped somewhat.
