Re: Simulating WRKSPLF

MC Press's Online newsletter contained a link to a free tool (JWSPLF)
that will do both of these tasks out of the box.  It is a WRKSPLF
lookalike with a bunch more actions.  The tool doesn't have the messages
option, but does discuss how to include it yourself via an API.

Here's a link right to the utility - I used it yesterday and installed
the executables.  It took 20 minutes and works like a charm. Typical
create SAVF, FTP to the SAVF, restore the library.   It also includes
source if you are interested; it is coded in Java.

I can load the subfile with an API or two, 

I can replicate the action of selecting all the options i.e
SNDNETSPLF,
CHGSPLFA, HLDSPLF, DLTSPLF etc. 

But I can't figure out how to replicate option 7=Messages. It doesn't
appear
to execute a command as the others all do.

 

Does anyone know how I can retrieve the message that is associates to
a
spooled file with a status of MSGW

Better yet, how I can display the same screen that appears when
selecting
option 7 on the WRKSPLF screen?
