Hi Trevor,

In terms of your interaction with the desktop, excel.exe is the same
name for the executable on 95,98,ME,NT, 2000 and XPerimental. When it
comes to interaction between the IFS and the desktop we have two
criteria:
ALL our information/files that resides within the IFS folders will be
where we designate them to be
There will be a folder on the PC that links/contains a shortcut/
contains the .exe that we activate remotely, i.e. excel.exe,
notepad.exe, word.exe will all be in a folder called something like
c:\rmtapp\ . Makes it a lot easier than trying to accomodate all the
the permutations that customers may have. Many use app servers and
        these may _not_ be standard!

By the way, your CL that detailed the extraction of the IP address
(using the API) of the 'calling' device refers. You posted this in 2001.
I use this to retrieve the IP address of the device that invoked the
request that initiates the application on the desktop (RMTLOCNAME) Works
like a dream. Try this in batch! When I get it working, will post!
