Hi,

When you set the QRMTSIGN (Remote Sign-on Control) System Value to *SAMEPRF,
you can telnet from one AS/400 to another, and, as long as the AS/400 User
Profile you enter into the RMTUSER parameter of the Telnet command exists on
the target system, you can auto-signon to the remote system.

TELNET RMTSYS(NEWSYS) RMTUSER(SHANNON)

At least at V5R1 you can. When I try this from a V5R1 box to a V5R2 box, I am
forced to sign-on every time.

I have not been able to find any information on this anywhere and am hoping
that one of you can suggest a solution/something to try.

Or possibly someone can try it between a V5R1 and a V5R2 box somewhere and let
me know if this is a universal problem or something unique to my setup.

Thanks In Advance!

Shannon O'Donnell
