<<Sounds like a neat opportunity to write a data queue application. Have QSYSOPR be handled by a break message program which hands the message text and key to the data queue in batch. Have the interactive application wait on the dtaq and display the messages in a subfile as they arrive>> Thats an excellent idea, but I have one problem. I am programming challenged. I promised myself years ago if I could write error free code the first time writing an application, I would stop programming. I did that and I havent programmed in COBOL or RPG in many years. But CL I can do. Now how do I send the received message to a dataq, I have no idea because I have never done that, much less create any subfiles and display whats in them. Any help or pointing me in the right direction would greatly be appreciated. Steven Segars AS/400 Certified Specialist/Administrator CSX Technology Work: 904-633-5650 Fax: 904 633-1051
