GOOD thoughts Buck..

You're right.  WE USERS and User Groups (ESPECIALLY COMMON!) need to be
transitioning from a hardware centric mentality/marketing mode to that of
a o/s centric...  And frankly in short order, to application centric.

Where the world is going is very much like your telephone:  you pick it
up, dial 10 digits (depending on country) and you expect to hear a dial
tone, a ring and a friendly voice answering "Mama Leone's..." at the other
end...  You don't and in the future WON'T care that it's running on some
unix box probably based in Jersey or some other place...  You just want
the application to work....:)
