Ken, I think the only similarity is that both use SQL. There's lots of setup stuff in the Windows version that you just don't do on iSeries. They are really very different products.

What are you trying to learn? What help are you looking for? If it's to run SQL, it'd probably be fine, although I'd prefer a connection to an iSeries box, for the simplicity of use.
