Now, now Joe. I did say you brought up some strong points about splitting databases across servers. I just didn't see that applying in Chuck's case. Granted, I was picking nits based on some recent disappointments and I shouldn't have used that paradigm to cloud some comments. But would you also rant about the numerous people who have responded over the years, on this list, about how their particular implementation of wintel solutions has gone months, or years, without a reboot? (And, really, I am biting my tongue to hold back on some serious technical issues I've had recently with iSeries lock ups.) Fact: Chuck's company is going to buy a CRM package. How can we assist him? Technically by offering solutions that may help his implementation. Emotionally by feeling his pain, allowing him to vent and then try to move through why it isn't so bad into why it is a positive thing.
