Actually, if the client can not get a second static IP address,  a proxy
is probably what we will use.

You could use a proxy...   a program that listens on port 515 of some
computer and then re-connects to whatever port you want it to be on.  It
would, of course, copy all of the data sent to 515 to the other port,
and copy any responses back...
